June Summer 2025 Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday Evening

Becoming an Emergency Medical Technician requires strict training. Classes prepare students to function as practitioners in the prehospital emergency medical environment.  This intense and accelerated 10-week course is considered a Blended/Hybrid Model.  Students attend in-person sessions every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm, with three mandatory Saturday sessions being required – Saturday, June 21st, Saturday, July 12th and Saturday, August 9th from 8 am – 4 pm.

Students will have 24/7 access to our custom-built classroom, which offers pre-recorded and scheduled content, including lectures, videos, resources and quizzes to support and enhance the learning experience.

Each student is required to participate in field/clinical internship experiences in and around Montgomery/Bucks/Berks Counties to achieve “patient contacts”.

Attendance is extremely important. In-person classroom absences are strictly monitored and cannot exceed 16 hours throughout the program.

This class is very fast paced, and time and dedication are required for success.  Students who have successfully completed the didactic and clinical components of this program will be eligible to sit for the Psychomotor Exam as well as the National Registry Cognitive EMT Exam.

Please note: Admission into the Freedom Valley Medical Training Institute's EMT program requires completion of the following procedures:

Submit proof of the following background checks which include:  (must be no older than one year from the end of the program)  PA Criminal Background check, Child Abuse Clearance

Submit a copy of Driver's License or picture ID (passport or student ID acceptable)

Submit a copy of personal health insurance (mandatory requirement)

Submit proof of a recent physical examination completed by a physician and/or PA-C or CRNP.  Must include a two-step TB test and state the student is in good health, free of communicable diseases and have no physical restrictions (must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.)  An approved institute health form will be provided to students upon registration.

Students are also required to purchase Personal Student Liability Insurance once class starts at the cost of approximately $42.00 (more information at the start of the program).

Students are required to purchase their own textbook.  We are currently using:

Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured Essentials Package, Twelfth Edition

FVMTI offers the students a significant publisher discount which will be given upon registration/enrollment of the program. (We suggest students wait until they are given details of the textbook discount)
